A New Villa built and Designed with inhouse Architecture, construction and Interior Design Team. Blackshaw interior designs first new build. Although, not for their in house construction team, as they have been building new villas for over 30 years in Marbella.
Completely new from the ground-up, taking care of everything from licensing permits to the architecture, construction, and interiors. This really raises the bar showing off the capabilities of Blackshaw on a whole new level.
Our team comprises talented designers, constructors, architects, plumbers, kitchen specialists, heating and domotics experts – all the specialists it takes to create a beautiful luxury home. This can really be proven here.
These particular clients we had worked with on two projects previously, the brief, to create a new home, fulfilling the light and the space, other than that we had carte blanche with the design. This modernistic villa was once a bungalow, one that had to be completely torn down because its foundations were irreparable. The new build project took maybe more work, but was so essential so we could benefit from creating a whole new orientation, to make the most of the light and the views, and take advantage of the new heights we could incorporate. This villa is like a yacht coming out of the ground. The streamline clean lines, the elongated spaces full of light. It actually looks enormous when down on the ground, or garage floor looking up, it feels immense. Once inside, it is homely, warm and with inviting open areas.
The outdoor heated pool is surrounded by a lush perfectly designed arid garden that complements the modernistic shaped with gentle curvatures of thin iron detailing. In the interior the modern hues such as grey, metallics, and creams make for inviting spaces in which natural sunlight also plays a starring role.
The open kitchen boasts features such as an ivory lacquer and white Krion island, a flush hidden extractor, and cabinets in metallic painted lacquer bespoke to Blackshaw. – a new material that lends the furniture a brilliant, polished look. The ground floor is fitted with cutting edge technology, including electric blinds and heated flooring. The first thing you notice when you enter this home, is light with floor-to-ceiling window features.
As we walk through the home, features such as full height doors highlight the spaciousness and height of the ceilings. Meanwhile, touches such as designer hanging lights in the bathrooms and lighting beneath the furniture add elegance and luxury that is welcome in a contemporary home.
The two ground-floor guest rooms are symmetrical, also boasting beautiful curtains, wallpaper and finishings. The winding staircase has a floor to ceiling bespoke laser cut panel covering three floors and is lit with small square wall lights fit into the lower part of the wall. The main bedroom, located upstairs, is spacious and cosy, the padded herringbone headboard a symbol of the symbiosis of style and comfort. Glass sliding doors lead out to a spacious terrace,
Down the steps from the ground floor, meanwhile, is a cinematic room to die for. Discreetly tucked away is the heating room, complete with cutting edge boilers and other intelligent, programmable machines.
The entire design and construction process was completed 11 months ahead of schedule, testimony to the value of relying on the same team for over a decade.
