A complete renovation project that involved transforming an old run down 70’s apartment in Puerto Banus into luxurious holiday apartment.
Located in the marina of Puerto Banus, one of Marbella’s most prestigious locations, this two bedroom, one bathroom apartment had seen better days. It’s layout was dis-functional, it’s design dated and unappealing. Blackshaw Interior Design instantly saw the potential the apartment had to offer.
We completely tore out the old interior and erected new walls from scratch, dividing the property into an open plan three bedroom, two bathroom property. Keeping the walls white to give a sense of space and light, we added bursts of accent colour to make the rooms more vibrant and interesting. We also added texture by incorporating rustic wood furniture and stylish wallpapers.
Sliding doors were used as access to other rooms, saving space and giving the apartment a more contemporary feel. The master bedroom, which had an abundance of light, was further accentuated with the use of spot lights and uplighters, casting light onto the main feature wall.
The end result is warm and eclectic apartment that is reflective of a boutique hotel suite.
